Character descriptor
Character descriptor- Benedick
An
aristocratic soldier who has recently been fighting, he is close
friends with Don Pedro and Claudio. Benedick is very witty, always making jokes
and puns. He carries on a “war” of wits with Beatrice, but at the
beginning of the play he swears he will never fall in love or marry. One main aspect of the play is that his character is tricked into realising his love for Beatrice and by the end of the play they are married.
