Rehearsal Notes 06/03/2014

Today in rehearsals we began to focus on our three main ideas.
  1. Persecution of women by presenting them as witches.
  2. World War II concentration camp, relationship story which James found.
  3. The Idea of linking relationships, everyone being intertwined.
We started of with a warm up activity which I found and thought may come in useful for our production. It is a song I learnt while on a Shakespeare master class week with the National Youth Theatre. it goes: "Rose, Rose, Rose, Red, shall I ever see the wed, I'll marry at thy will, sire at thy will." we paid particular notion to the solemnness of the second verse, "Ah poor bird, take thy flight, high above the sorrows of this dark night." After this we then got to work on the Ideas, making tableaux scenes from each one. Before the end of the lesson we also started on mind-mapping each idea and the things we could in clued within it eg. type of music/lighting.
